Illustration and design for Burning Man.
The theme of Burning Man 2019 was Metamorphoses, which represents new life and rebirth. I was inspired by Kafka’s Metamorphoses and designed a woman made from natural elements. The flier shows the infamous businessman-cockroach in her mouth, but also represents rebirth through the lush greenery that comprises her face. I chose this solution because it was unexpected and not the usual desert-scape color palette.
